Staffing your firm can be a real-live challenge. Not only is the “great resignation” a valid concern; firms must do what they can to provide a great work environment, increased benefits, and job satisfaction.

I surveyed our members of Roundtable Labs to ask them for best practice recommendations on where accountants and bookkeepers can find new staff. Roundtable Labs is a community of accountants and ProAdvisor® business owners who gather together online to grow their businesses and accomplish common goals.

My sales and marketing manager, along with my new project manager/bookkeeper in training came from having a conversation with them and realizing there was an opportunity for both of us. I also belong to ProVisors, who have a “Needs, Deals & Wants” section, and it has been a good secondary source for finding talent. Currently, one of my interns and a new prospective bookkeeper came from that.
